Because I know some of you young hipsters just want to get right to flashing and not read through all of the KNOWN BUGS (though you REALLY SHOULD), I've consolidated some important things to remember.
I will keep this updated with any other questions people have.
The core of Android is released from AOSP under a combination of the Apache and GPLv2 licenses. Emerald is released under the GPLv2 license, which can be found below:

Koush's Bootstrap Recovery utilizes a similar hijacking mechanism to what obsidian does. For this reason, if you bootstrap the recovery after installing obsidian, you will effectively overwrite the hijacking scripts that obsidian uses to boot RENDERING YOUR DEVICE UNABLE TO BOOT INTO OBSIDIAN.
Obsidian for this purpose comes with its own copy of CW recovery already installed. In order to reach it, you can simply long-press the power button to bring up the options menu, and then select “Reboot” → “Recovery”. The system will detect that you are running a device that requires a hijacked recovery and boot it accordingly.
Being that the two recoveries are identical now, nandroids should work fine from each regardless of which you are using. HOWEVER, nandroids from obsidian 2.0.0 will not work. You are recommended to upgrade to 2.0.1, restoring ONLY the DATA partition from the 2.0.0 backup, and then re-nandroiding to upgrade your 2.0.0 nandroids.
For the time being, using Rom Manager is unsupported and on a “USE AT YOUR OWN RISK” basis. I have not gotten a chance to discuss with Koush how RM deals with hijacked devices, and therefore it probably will not detect the preinstalled CW recovery that is required for this rom to function properly.
For reasons that need to be investigated, when an attempt is made at playing a video, the media server crashes and hence the video does not play. It appears to be related to audio, but needs to be looked into. For this reason video through gallery or youtube does not work.
Network-based GPS works (fuzzy-gps) and is accurate to approximately 20 meters. However, pin-point gps or true gps is not currently functioning. It is being looked into.
The Camera freezes and ultimately crashes if you attempt to take a photo with it. The camcorder will crash as soon as you turn it on. These are being looked into as well.

All bug reports and feature requests will be done through Bugzilla, an issue tracker hosted on this site. It requires a valid email to register (which is only used for tracking which users have what bugs), and provides a much better interface to report and track problems or features.

I do this on my free time simply because I love it and want to provide something great to the community. That being said, I would love to be able to devote more time to doing this as a living. If you like the work that I do, please consider making a contribution!
